Digital Photography- RAW vs. JPEG explained

Thanks to Shabby Blogs for the great information.  Just the other day, I changed my settings on my Canon T2i DSLR to shoot in RAW format instead of JPEG.  I did it because I can manipulate the photo in post-processing but I'll be honest in telling you that I'm not exactly sure how it all works so I'm grateful for the information presented in this article.  Shooting in RAW and on manual settings is a giant leap in moving beyond just "pointing and shooting".  I want to fully utilize my new camera's potential.  However, a good picture is only as good as the photographer.  (*smile*)
